Monday-Once again, I decided to hold off this week’s post until after our meeting which will be taking place this evening. It seems as if it was only yesterday I was writing about the February meeting but, in my defense, we are meeting a week earlier this month so that both Brenda and David can attend, as they are in town for March Break. We have so much to cover, I’m really glad that we will be a larger group. Maybe we can wrestle some of the bigger questions into submission!!!
I am very excited to have discovered, last week, that Janice plans to come on Team again this Summer!!
She has been on Team the past 3 years and has twice been a Leader so it is doubly great to have another Leader in place.
Last week I also had another talk with Bishop Michael in Prince Albert and we are all praying that a way forward will be found for us to return to his Diocese.
Funding for an “on site” Coordinator is the major stumbling block.
Dinner preparation |
This person is essential for the preparation and smooth functioning of the Program since the host communities are not always able to arrange for billets or to collect the various supplies.
Next Saturday we will be recording the Liturgical Dance DVD. I have completed the Choreography and am practicing once a day so that I will have the piece well-memorised and be ready to teach it efficiently……..
Tuesday- The meeting went very well last evening. Brenda came (right on time!!) and David
(extraordinarily late!!!) but it was just great to have nearly the whole committee in the room at the same time.
I think we covered a fair bit of territory, making important decisions like –
” should the text of the Silly Songs be printed in the Program Manual” we decided “no”.
We also wrestled with the need to find a third Training Parish Location and that will be on our list of Prayer Concerns.
All Ready! |
Everyone was encouraged to hear of the number of potential Team Members and also about various communities which are requesting Day Camp Weeks.
Today I have to enter the extremely crowded Supply Room and see if I can drag out a copy of the 2006 Day Camp Song CD. Brenda will be able to use this to help pull together the new 2012 version.
It is such a blessing to have a pro-active committee. I am so thankful for each person and for the gifts which each of them brings to the table! Speaking of tables…..
Here is the “Soup” we had for dinner. It turned out to be more of a pilaf than a soup, but all agreed it was delicious!:-
