Family Fridays: Easter Roundup!

With Easter weekend just two weeks away, I thought I would post some ideas for celebrating the resurrection with your family. Of course you’ll go to church, and maybe have an Easter egg hunt and a nice meal, but here are a few ideas gleaned from the internet, to help you reinforce the message that yes, the Lord is risen, Alleluia!
Easter Garden: this is one of my favourites, like an Easter version of a Christmas creche. You can make it simple, like this. Or you could do it with real grass. The one pictured here is one we once made one out of paper mache and clothespins with a kids’ club in Saskatchewan.
Resurrection Eggs are a neat idea. I first encountered them at church. You could buy a set, but you can also make your own.
With resurrection rolls, you can have your lesson and eat it too!
Good Friday is course an especially good time to do a cross craft, though of course these would be great for any day of the year! How about stained glass crosses, a melted crayon cross, or a beaded cross.
A blessed Holy Week and Easter to all our Day Camp families!
