Special Guest Interview

Well, I have just received the long promised “On Site” interview between one of our Team Members and LAMB!
With winter in Montreal looking like this-
  and this-
and this-
  and this-
it is no wonder that our favourite ovine   and all the flock, choose to spend the “un-Day Camp” months in the BaaaHamas!!

So with no further ado, I’m turning over this week’s blogpost to Jillian and Lamb:-

The flight from the Ewenited States

On the first week of January, my family went on vacation to the Bahamas. While we were there, I met up with Lamb, the Day Camps mascot.

Jill: Hello, Lamb! It’s wonderful to see you.
Lamb: You too, Jillian!
J: So Lamb, how has your stay in the Bahamas been so far?
L: Well after flying here from the Ewenited States, I’ve been having a blast!
J: What have you been doing?
L: Well, for the first couple of days, I tried sunbathing but instead of getting a tan, I got sunburnt.
J: Oh no!
L: It’s alright. I’m back to sheep shape.
J: Well other than visiting the beach, what else have you been up to?
L: The other day, I’ve been scouting for potential Day Campers!
J: Really?

L: Yes! I hope that CTM can do Day Camps out of the country one day. We could have Water Day on the beach!

The Beach
Stingray

J: Wouldn’t that be fun!
L: Speaking of fun, I even made a new friend, Stingray, on one of the cruise ships!

 J: Anything left to report?
L: I can’t think of anything right off the hoof.
J: Well thank you for your time, Lamb! It’s been nice visiting you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacaaaa-tion!

Good to read of a  reunion with our fleecy friend. Soon Lamb will need to be thinking of a flight home so that the flock can help in supervising the inventory of supplies and subsequent box-packing marathon!
Apart from all my Day Camp work (proofreading Manual Chapters, processing some more Church Applications [yay!], badgering Team members[ugh!] and working on Retreat plans)   I was also involved in one of my cooking marathons, being “Personal Organic Chef” for a friend who needed box lunches, and a dinner for 30 people from her Parish who were going on a sleigh ride in the country!
This provides me with a handy recipe segue.
I have recently been producing vast numbers of Fairy Buns having been inspired by reading “The Gentle Art of Domesticity”.
The recipe in that book is only for one dozen so I’ve been using an old Mennonite one which makes two dozen, but decorating them ala Jane Brocket do try some, they will brighten the February gloom…..

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup margarine
